Structural Mass Spectrometry

Our lab is interested in studying the structure and dynamics of proteins and protein complexes using a combination of mass spectrometry, ion mobility mass spectrometry and proteomics approaches. We also develop computational tools, when necessary, to process the data obtained. Current research projects involve developing methods for the study of flexible proteins, the study of protein complexes of type IV secretion systems, protein misfolding diseases such as alpha-1 antitrypsin and DNA-binding proteins involved in DNA packaging.
