reterat

The aim of the retreat is to explore our links to biology, to build connections between ISMB members and to encourage collaboration. The retreat aims to give the strongest voice to students and postdocs at UCL and Birkbeck.

The 4th ISMB retreat took place on the 21st and 22nd of June 2011, at Robinson College in Cambridge.

The programme included keynote talks by Jason Chin, Madan Babu and Harvey McMahon, presentations from students and postdocs on both days, as well as a poster session during which attendees presented their work. There was also a session called "The Scientific Apprentice", with the aim of increasing PhD students and postdocs awareness of the importance of presenting themselves to potential employers.

The report on the 4th ISMB Retreat is available to download here.
