ISMB Facilities
In each of the programme areas, the ISMB seeks to create
or promote the creation of a research centre. These research centres
will provide an interface with and services for the wider community of
biomedical researchers at UCL, in London and nationally.
Structural Biology facilities
The ISMB has state of the art facilities
in electron microscopy, x-ray crystallography and NMR.
Biophysics facilities
The ISMB Biophysics Centre
provides access to instrumentation and expertise in the analysis of
biomolecular interactions for scientists in London. A variety of
instrumentation is available for the characterisation of equilibrium
and kinetic behaviours of protein, nucleic acid and small-molecule
interactions on a hire, service or collaborative basis.
Bioinformatics facilities
The Bloomsbury
Centre
for Bioinformatics (BCB) provides support and training
resources in bioinformatics, and will run a research incubator
programme providing support for pilot projects expected to lead to full
grant applications.
