ISMB seminars and events are organised throughout the year.
ISMB Friday Wrap
The ISMB Friday Wraps provide a forum around which to relax and get to know other members of the Institute. They also aim to facilitate communication among postdocs and students. These Friday meetings are held weekly. Meetings begin with refreshments at 15.45, followed by two 30 minute talks from 16.00. Talks are given by postdocs, final year PhD students and/or young PIs.
ISMB seminars
ISMB seminars provide the opportunity to hear world class researchers giving seminars at the ISMB. The seminars take place in the afternoon and members of the ISMB are invited to meet with visiting seminar speakers. Students are able to meet with the speaker at a free sandwich lunch.
ISMB Retreat
The aim of the retreat is to explore our links to biology, to build connections between ISMB members and to encourage collaboration. It is a great opportunity for students and postdocs at UCL and Birkbeck to present their work. The 3rd ISMB retreat took place on the 24th and 25th of June 2009, at Robinson College, Cambridge.
ISMB Symposium
This highly successful event takes place every two year and includes talks from eminent speakers in the five ISMB core areas. Next ISMB Symposium will take place on the 17th and 18th of June 2010. For details about previous ISMB symposia, please click here.
